Stroll around Kyoto in a kimono! (Ichinofunairi)

by 尾﨑由美子

Hello, this is musubi-kyoto.

Another favorite photo spot is the area around Ichinofunairi on the Takase River that runs through Kiyamachi. It's a place where you can really feel the Kyoto atmosphere.

This shipyard was built for loading and unloading cargo, and is a valuable relic of Edo period transportation that crossed the Kamo River and led to Fushimi and Osaka.

We also recommend visiting during the season when the cherry blossoms and willows shine. It is within walking distance from Shijo and Sanjo, so why not take a stroll in a kimono during this year's cherry blossom season? (^^)
