Kurume is located in the southern part of Fukuoka Prefecture and is a famous textile production area that has continued since the Edo period.
Even today, local artisans continue to weave textiles with their reliable techniques.
This high-quality samue is carefully tailored using lavish tsumugi fabric woven in Kurume.
